This briefing paper examines the 2009 elections in Namibia to determine if the new parties formed for this election can break the monopoly of voters for the ruling party, SWAPO. The survey focused on the party support for the various parties and to what extent voters trust these parties. However Namibia continues to feature a dominant party system.
