By

This briefing note discusses the current trends and possible scenarios in the lead up to the 2015 general elections and emphasizes the need for improved voter education. It further highlights challenges voter education faces and offers recommendations to reverse the current political trend in which the godfather is the kingmaker instead of the voter, the latter will thereby regain ownership of
the electoral system to the detriment of godfathers and moneybags.
