She holds a Masters in Political Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, where her research centred on social protection in Africa and the universal basic income grant. Her research focuses on the intersections of the development, energy and climate agendas of Global South countries in groupings such as the G20 and the BRICS.
